Atlanta Fox - Last night

Unbelievable show last night! I've seen Ray 6 times and last night was the best performance yet! Constant chatting with audience, jokes, stories, seemed to be having a good time on stage. He said that at the beginning of his career he would try to play with the lights turned off but the crowd wanted to see him. Says that now, he understands that the crowd wants to hear him talk. He has grown so much on stage.
IF ANYONE TAPED IT PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!
Also, played original version of 'you are the best thing' the Youtube version that is oh so good. He said that he likes the original, slow style better but the record wanted the uptempo. Absolutely crushed it last night!
I may have to go to Philly this weekend.

I am still speechless after this show. By far the best concert I have ever seen. Ray was is top form. I was really impressed with his guitar abilities. They really seemed to shine at the concert. His voice was spot on, the setlist was amazing He was in great spirits, talking a lot and joking around. The highlights for me were definitely Let It Be Me, where he really opened the vocals up, and Jolene. Here is the setlist in order:

Went to the the 1st show of the Solo tour last night in Atlanta at the Fox theater. Great show and great seats (5th row). I have seen Ray nine times now and he talked more last night than the previous eight times combined. It was shocking to see him to talk that much and he was surprisingly funny as hell. He looked like he was really enjoying himself up there. He talked a lot about hanging out with Lyle Lovett, John Prine, and Elvis Costello for the taping of Spectacle: Elvis Costello with... (Sundance Channel). He did a haunting version of Let It Be Me and a pre Gossip in the Grain version of You Are The Best Thing. He also covered Townes Van Zandt's Loretta. Which I have uploaded to youtube and I will upload more videos from the night when I have time. I will make them available for download if anyone wants them.
